Grupo Giró has acquiered the majority of the capital of the company Serfruit and Sersuport, which offers itstechnical service. In this way, both companies become part of the Grupo Giró, which becomes the main world leader in integral solutions for the fruit and vegetable industry. With this integration, Grupo Giró adds to its packaging offer all the capacity to automate fruit and vegetable processing plants from selection to palletizing, as well as being able to be present in other sectors thanks to the automation solutiones provided by Serfruit.
The owners of Serfruit/Sersuport will continue as partners in addition to being the directors who lead these companies, giving continuity to the succesful trajectory carried out.
Grupo Giró is a leader in fruit and vegetable packaging. With the integration of Serfruit, Grupo Giró will consolidate more than 170 million euros of turnover and a workforce of 800 employees. The commercial and technical teams of Giró and Serfruit/Sersuport will continue to operate in the same way as to date, but taking advantage of many sinergies, tackling comprehensive projects and consolidating leadership together.
